Frances Patrick Obituary

Frances Louise Cunningham Patrick was born August 18, 1916, in Goodlettsville, Tennessee, and went to be with the Lord on October 3, 2004, in Corpus Christi, Texas.Louise met Cecil when her brother Ben brought him home to meet the family during WWII. Not long afterwards, Cecil shocked his hosts by announcing that he and Louise were going to get married. The men continued to serve together in Europe, and after the war, Ben married Martha McHenry. The two couples remained best friends all of their lives.Louise was a Sunday school teacher and active member of the First Baptist Church of Bishop for many years. She enjoyed decades of potluck dinners with her friends, the Hardin Study Club and bridge. Known as one of the 3Ls, her family and friends will remember her great wit, beauty, and style. She will be missed by all of us.She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-eight years, Cecil; and her son-in-law, Leonard LeBlanc.She is survived by three children, Ray (Kitty) Patrick of Bishop, Texas, Don (Lillian) Patrick of Austin, Texas, and Margaret LeBlanc of San Antonio, Texas; eight grandchildren, Bo, Rob (Megan), Lea, Sean, Katherine and C.R. Patrick, as well as Shannon Fabregas (Ken) and Rebecca LeBlanc; her only brother, Ben Cunningham (Martha) of Nashville, Tennessee; and her dear cousin, Ladye Frances Gwynn of Mobile, Alabama.Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2004, at the First Baptist Church, Bishop, with Rev. Clif Abshier officiating. Burial will follow in Bishop at Restland Cemetery.Donations can be made to the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society or the First Baptist Church of Bishop.
