Betty Bowman Patrick, 87, of Falls Mils, VA, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Dogwood Crossing Senior Living in Tazewell, VA, who along with Caris Hospice Care provided Betty with amazing care and love in her last days.
Born on June 29, 1938 in Horsepen, WV, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Grace Whitman Bowman. She was a graduate of Burke Garden High School and was a retired retail office manager from Nash Finch.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Lowell Patrick. Betty loved her family and spent her entire life helping others. She had a great network of friends and was able to travel with them to see the world from Isreal to the pacific coast and often talked about the St. Louis Arch over looking the Mississippi River.
Betty loved fresh garden tomatoes & cucumbers and was an amazing cook, her mashed potatoes & deviled eggs were amazing!!! She was an avid reader and often gifted books to her family and friends. Betty believed in lifetime learning, taking higher education courses throughout her life. She will be greatly missed by everyone.
She is survived by her sister in-law and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, February 16, 2026 at 1:00PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Minister Ron Tabor officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Friends may call prior to services, from 12:30-1:00 PM at the funeral home.
