Joe William TumlinsonSinton, TXJoe William Tumlinson of Sinton, Texas passed away on May 18, 2013. Joe was born October 19, 1927 in Taft, Texas to Alonzo and Lorrayne Tumlinson. He graduated from Sinton High School in 1945 and attended Texas A&M. Joe was a member of the Texas State Guard during World War II from 1944 to 1945. He joined the Air Force in 1946 and served with the 13th Air Force in Clark Field on Philippine Island. Following his service to our country, Joe began work with Plymouth Oil Company, which later became Marathon Oil, and retired after 38 years. Joe was one of the original members of the San Patricio County Riding and Roping Club. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved gardening. He also served on the Sinton School Board and the Sinton Cemetery Board, and was a long time member of the local Veterans of Foreign Wars.Joe was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Gloria Lorrayne Keprta. He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann of Sinton; son, Jody Tumlinson of Navasota; son, Bob Tumlinson and wife Paula of Corpus Christi; son, Jim Tumlinson and wife Loretta of Corsicana; daughter, Patti Osburn and husband Steve Smith of Houston; grandchildren: Wes Tumlinson, Page House, Amy Clark, Dawn Toman, Leah Ribaul, Chelsea Self, Zac Osburn; and great-grandchildren: Bayliss Tumlinson, Jocelyn House, Harper Jayne House, Will Clark and Corbin Toman.Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2013 from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M., at Resthaven Funeral Home, 606 S. San Patricio Avenue, Sinton, Texas.Funeral services will be held Monday, May 20 at 10:00 A.M., at Resthaven Funeral home Chapel.Burial to follow at Sinton Cemetery.In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Diocese of Corpus Christi, Chancellery Office, Retired Priest Fund, P.O.
