Saenz, our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister entered into the glory of her eternal life on Saturday, March 14th, 2015, at her home surrounded by her family. Judy was born on September 1, 1930, in Alice, Texas, a descendant of a pioneer Alice ranching family. She was a student of the original class of St. Joseph Catholic School and graduated from Alice High School. She also attended Texas A & I University in Kingsville. After her five children attended St. Joseph Catholic School, she worked there as a paraprofessional for many years. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of nearly 50 years, Aaron L. Saenz; her parents, Arturo and Elvira P. Gomez; brothers, Hector, Ruy and Arturo Gomez Jr.; sisters, Viola Gomez Dolan and Lamar Gomez Flores; and step grandson, Father TJ Martinez, SJ.She is survived by her children who loved her dearly, Marisa (Ricardo) Garcia, Leila (Richard) Barton, Carla (Tony) Martinez, Carmela (Jay) Garcia and Aaron G. (Sheila) Saenz; her devoted sister, Sylvia E. Gomez; her grandchildren; her great grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their gratitude to her healthcare providers and numerous caretakers, in particular Dr. Oscar Reynolds, Dr. Adriana Pop Moody, Marcela Hernandez and Marisela Delgado.A Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 17 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alice with visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 18th at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Lopez Family Cemetery in Loma Alta. Pallbearers will be Tyler Marlin, Andres Garcia, Jorge Villarreal, Esteban Garcia, Aaron Infante, and Ricky Garcia.Funeral arrangements in the care of Rosas Funeral Home, Alice, Texas.
