Ms. Lillie Anna Saenz, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt, was born on July 24, 1957, in Rio Grande City, Texas, to her parents, Mr. Cosme Saenz and Mrs. Norma Saenz. She peacefully went to be with the Lord on January 30, 2026, in Pearsall, Texas, surrounded by the love of her family.
Lillie was known for her kind heart, hardworking spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family. She possessed a quiet strength and a warm, comforting presence that brought peace and reassurance to all who knew her. Family was always at the center of her life, and she found her greatest joy in being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother-roles she cherished deeply and fulfilled with unconditional love.
For many years, Lillie faithfully served the South Texas community as a Field Supervisor at A Plus Family Care. Through her work, she touched countless lives with compassion, dedication, and integrity. She viewed her profession not merely as a job, but as a calling—always serving others with dignity, patience, and genuine care.
Lillie was well known in the Pearsall community for her years as a skilled bartender at The Porter House in Pearsall, Texas. Through her warmth, humor, and genuine interest in others, she made more than drinks-she made friendships. Lillie had a gift for conversation and connection, and many customers became lifelong friends and acquaintances who cherished her welcoming spirit and kind heart.
She is survived by her siblings, Marvin Saenz (Isabel) and Liviar Hernandez; her beloved daughter, Rhonda Leal, and son-in-law Homer Leal; her treasured grandchildren Homero Leal Jr. (Jesse), Maria Moreno (Marc), Jeffrey Leal, Mireya Moreno, Larissa Leal (Carmen), Christopher Moreno, Brianna Moreno, Zachery Leal (Kathryn), and Zaine Leal (Naydelin); and her precious great-grandchildren Amariz Martinez, Elliana Martinez, Nayeli Garza, Zaylin Leal, and Katalaya Cuevas. She is also lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, and extended family, all of whom were richly blessed by her love.
Lillie was preceded in death by her parents, Cosme Saenz and Norma Saenz; her siblings Roberto Saenz, Rosendo Saenz, and Samuel Garcia; and her beloved grandson Dennis Marcelino Leal, whom she now joins in eternal rest.
Though her absence leaves a profound void, her legacy of faith, love, and service will continue to live on through the generations she nurtured and the many lives she touched. Lillie Anna Saenz will be deeply missed and forever remembered, until the day her family is reunited with her again in God's perfect peace.
