MCMILLAN Larry Davis McMillan, age 66, of Leakey, Texas passed away January 8, 2011 at his home.Larry was born August 22, 1944, in Corpus Christi, Texas to Lawrence and Elizabeth (Garland) McMillan.Larry was a very kind and gentle man, who brought happiness into everyone's life around him. He loved being a Firefighter for 27 years with the Decatur Fire Department. He would help anyone at their time of need. He loved to cook for the Decatur Fire Department in Illinois, Friends of the Library, and the Lions Club in Leakey and at hunting camps. Larry's enchilada casserole recipe was published in The National Firefighters Recipe Book.He also served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era. He was a very loving husband, father, brother, son and friend. He was 'my' Ray of Sunshine!I had known Larry for 33 years, of which two years I was privileged to be his wife.He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Elizabeth McMillan; nephew, Cap Machen.Larry is survived by his loving wife, Jackie McMillan of Leakey, Texas formerly of Decatur, Illinois; children, Charles McMillan and wife, Laura, of Manitowoc, Wisconsin, Jeremy McMillan and wife, Cory, of Chicago, Illinois, Justin McMillan of Warrensburg, Illinois, Jeremy Long of Bethany, Illinois, Jaime Brooksher and husband, Keith, of Decatur, Illinois; grandchildren, Courtney and Allysa McMillan, Mia McMillan, Dominique, Christina, and Ashley McMillan, Kiersten Long, Peyton and Jasmyn Brooksher; sisters, Patsy Fansler of Corpus Christi, Texas, Helen McMillan of Corpus Christi, Texas, Barbara Machen and husband, Gary, of Pearsall, Texas; brother, Terry McMillan of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; nieces and nephews, David, Brett, and Oren Fansler, Kelly, Kyle, and Lacy McMillan.Honorary pallbearer, Jesse Guinn Pallbearers are Charles McMillan, Bill Weatherford, Leo Lamontagne, Gus Evers, Jeremy Long, Carl Jensen.Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2011, at the Leakey United Methodist Church, with Rev.
