Lori DeCamp Obituary

Lori DeCamp

Austin, TX

The beautiful Lori Diane Decamp was born on March 4, 1977 in Yokosuka, Japan to Carolyn and Loyd DeCamp, and was called home suddenly on November 17, 2017 in Round Rock, Texas.

Lori was baptized as an infant while in Japan, and lived in a number of places including California and several cities in Texas.

Lori attended school in Kingsville, Texas. She graduated from H.M. King High School. She then graduated Magna Cum Laude from the South West Texas State University, she received a Master's Degree in Education from Concordia University and held multiple certifications for teaching, including a Principal Certification.

She was an employee of Pflugerville Independent School District for 17 years. She was a calm, steady, and familiar staple at the Provan Opportunity Center for the last 15 years.

She loved to listen to music, watch football, and have pink "things". She was a true friend to many and a comforting spirit to all.

Lori is preceded in death by her father Loyd DeCamp and both her maternal and paternal grandparents.

She survived by her loving mother Carolyn DeCamp, her treasured Chihuahua's: Alex, Gracie, Jaxson, and Sir Sterling. Aunts and Uncles: Edward and Connie Wernecke, Walter and Sandy Warnecke, and Marylyn and Joe Ellis and host of cousins and friends.

The visitation will take place at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks on Friday, November 24, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, 14501 N. IH-35 Pflugerville, Texas 78660.

The memorial service will take place Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Immanuel Church, 500 Immanuel Road Pflugerville, Texas 78660.

DC,
You will never know how much you touched my life. You came into my life as a Coach but after 3 years together you were much more than that. You were a friend and mentor. Thank you for being by my side during some of my darkest times. You are a beautiful soul and you will be missed.

I couldn't wait to see you when I was in Kingsville visiting my daddy. I was so excited to move to Kingsville after high school. I love you my sweet angel. We will always have our hair brush singing to Wilson Philips, shopping, working drive-thru at McDonalds and sleepover days. I was your biggest dance fan. My heart is broken.

I love you Lori. My heart is broken into a million pieces.
