Manoel Meira

Manoel Meira, 67, left this earth to join his Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 7, 2007, following an extended illness. Manoel was a common man with many uncommon qualities and a vision that served others well beyond their understanding.Born March 22, 1940 in Rio Formoso, Brazil, he worked in various areas of transportation, sales and supervision. He was widely traveled, having visited 36 countries. He immigrated to the United States in 1979, settling in Austin, Texas where he met and married his wife Valerie. He moved to the Corpus Christi area because of its wonderful fishing opportunities. He was a gifted mechanic and gardener. His appreciation of the wonders of God's creation and human needs of God's children touched the lives of many.Manoel is survived by his wife Valerie, of Corpus Christi, Texas. Services will be private.
