Petra Perez Obituary

PEREZ Mrs. Petra Salinas Perez, age 89, went home to be with our Lord in Corpus Christi, Texas on Thursday, April 1, 2010. Born September 12, 1920 in Brownsville, Texas and settled in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was a housewife and mother to seven children. Petra was a member of the 'Templo Bethel Church'. She was active in the Women's Ministries throughout her membership. She was a mother, a friend to those in need. Always devoted to her Lord and Family 'A Virtuous Woman'She was preceded in death by her parents Jesus and Margarita Salinas, her husband of 72 years Jose Angel Perez, her son Eaustaquio Perez, and three brother and three sisters.Petra is survived by her sons: Joel (Margaret) Perez, of Corpus Christi, Texas, David Perez of Corpus Christi, Texas Abraham (Margaret) Perez, of Aransas Pass, Texas, Angel (Maria) Perez, of Houston, Texas, Daniel Perez of Evans Colorado, daughter: Rose Perez Flores of Corpus Christi, Texas. She had 23 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters: Francisca Garza and Teodora Trevino both of Corpus Christi, Texas. Visitation will be held Saturday, April 3, 2010, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with a Prayer Service to be held at 6:00 p.m. that same evening. Public visitation will continue on Sunday, April 4, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.Services will be Monday, April 5, 2010 at 10:00 a.m., at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
