His hobbies included woodworking, fishing and spending time with his kids and grand kids.He is survived by his spouse, Cecil Carter McBride from Swinney Switch, Texas; his children, Lynda and her spouse Sam Kimbrell from Swinney Switch, Texas, Stephen 'Tad' and his spouse Cindy McBride from Robstown, Texas, Mark and his spouse Janet McBride from Warrensburg, Missouri, and Annette and her spouse Charles Knapp of Calallen, Texas; his sister, Patricia Binderup from Houston, Texas; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.He is preceded in death by his parents, O.T. and Philomena Privat McBride.Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 5:00PM at Galloway & Sons Funeral Chapel in George West, Texas. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 7:00PM at Galloway & Sons Funeral Chapel in George West, Texas. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at 10:00AM at St. George Catholic Church in George West, Texas. Burial will follow at the Coastal Bend Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi, Texas. Pallbearers will be Steve McBride, Mark McBride, Charles Knapp, Sam Kimbrell, Anthony Knapp, Michael McBride, Robert McBride, and Christopher Warren.Memorials may be made to the St. George Catholic Church Stewardship Committee.Galloway and Sons Funeral Home1600 Laurel AvenueThree Rivers, Texas 78071Ph#361-786-2752
