Steven Costley Obituary
Alice, TX
Steven "Steve" Frederick Costley, age 77, passed away at his home on Thursday, September 27, 2018 surrounded by his family.
He was born in Alice, Texas on December 28, 1940 to Lillian Erck Costley and Solon Leslie Costley.
Steve was a loving husband, father, grandfather great-grandfather and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Steve attended schools in Alice and attended Southwestern University where he was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity; he graduated from Texas A & I University in Kingsville with a Bachelors Degree in Business. He was a longtime member of the Alice Kiwanis Club. Having worked in sales and advertising for so long, there is a long list of friends and acquaintances who will miss him. He was a great role model, and will be remembered for his words of wisdom and honesty.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Carolyn Leary, Alice Ann Hobbs and Loraine Funderburck, and brother-in-law, Lamar Bowden.
Forever cherishing their memory of him are his loving wife of 49 years, Judy Tipps Costley of Alice; three children, Elaine Costley Finley of Rockwall, Texas, Scott (Tina) Costley of Katy, Texas and Steven Costley, Jr. of Alice; ten grandchildren, Dusty Wars, Kacie (Blake) Nono, Michael Finley, Taylor (Caroline) Costley, Aaron Costley, Austin Costley, Brandon Costley, Lillian Costley, Addison Costley, and Willow Costley; five great-grandchildren, Presleigh Nono, Maddox Costley, Tucker Costley, Whitley Costley, and Aiden Costley.
Family will be receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Holmgreen Mortuary Chapel.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 1, 2018 at Holmgreen Mortuary Chapel with Brother Roland Contreras officiating. Services will conclude after funeral service.
Arrangements are entrusted to Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 E. Main St., Alice, Texas
