Weinmann
78, of North Fort Myers, Fla. died suddenly on June 24, 2014. He grew up in Strasburg, Ohio, graduating in 1953 and graduated from College of Wooster, Wooster, Ohio in 1957. He taught Biology and was a very successful football coach in Evart, Mich. from 1957 to 1963, he then taught and coached football at Lincoln High School, Canton, Ohio from 1963 to 1976. Jim then was a Guidance Counselor at Mc Kinley High School, Canton from 1976 to 1989. He then retired to North Fort Myers, Fla. in 1998-- he loved his Florida community and especially golf and his golf buddies. Loved to travel and play euchre.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Jan, daughter, Lisa Kartler (Ron), sons, Timothy (Debbie) and Brent ( Holly), grandchildren, Kelsey Weinmann (Dru), Molly Whitlock (Dustin), Joshua Weinmann, Kelly Price, Jacob Weinmann, a first great grandson on the way and his sister, Dr. Carol Weinmann. He was the son of the late Albert and Elnora Weinmann.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, August 18, 2014 at 10 a.m. in St. Paul's Catholic Church, 241 S. Main Street, North Canton, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to St. Cecilia Catholic Community, 5632 Sunrise Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33919 or a charity of your choice. Mr. Weinmann was a kind man. When he spoke to students, he looked right into our eyes. He always had just the right advice and always felt better after talking with him. My deepest sympathy to his entire family. (Class of 1969)

Jim epitomized the words integrity and moral compass. He was a gentle man and always the gentleman. Heaven surely welcomed another angel. My sincere sympathy to Jan and family.

I am so sorry to hear that Jim has passed away. We shared a homeroom at Lincoln High School before he be e a counselor. I will always remember him a ax a dedicated professional who gave of himself entirely to students. He was an asset to the teaching profession. My deepest sympathy to all of you.

Jan and family, so sorry to hear of your loss. Jim was a great help to me when I was starting my teaching career. He was a good teacher and guidance counselor. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
