David H. Heiser

78, of North Canton, passed away quietly, early Thursday morning, Dec. 31, 2020. Born in Canton, July 21, 1942, a son to the late Harold and Ann (McCullough) Heiser, David graduated from the former Glenwood High School with the Class of 1960. He attended Western Reserve University before entering in the US Army in 1966, serving honorably and selflessly as a combat medic in Vietnam. His professional career was spent in the banking industry as an internal auditor with several multi-state firms. A loving husband and a caring dad and grandpa, David was a faithful member of Central Presbyterian Church in Massillon and the Hall of Fame Luncheon Club. After retiring he applied himself to another of his hobbies and became an antique dealer and a member of the Heisey Glass Collectors Club.

Predeceased by his parents and a sister, Kathleen; David is survived by his wife, Lynn (Reifsnyder) Heiser, of the home; a son, Seth Heiser, of Florida; step-daughters, Lori (David) Kroll, of Canton and Wendy (Kevin) Whitlock, of Massillon; grandchildren, Cameron Snyder and Mia and Ian Whitlock. Also surviving is his brother, Douglas (Debra) Heiser, of Mentor.

The family will gather with their pastor, Rev. Larry Lalama, to mark David's passing with a private service. Once concerns about the Covid pandemic have abated, a more formal celebration of his life will be announced. They have also suggested contributions in David's memory made to either The USO or The Wounded Warrior Project.
