Donald Schrader Obituary
age 82, of Louisville, passed away
on Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017. He was
born on Feb. 5, 1935 in Randolph,
Ohio, to the late Henry J. and Theresa
L. (May) Schrader. He married Ardella
(Weisent) Schrader on June 22,
1957, just celebrating 60 years of marriage.
Don retired in 2002 after 35
years as the owner of the "North Canton
Barber Shop". He was a member
of Sacret Heart of Mary Catholic
Church in Harrisburg, where he served
as a church usher, bingo worker and festival committee member. He
was also a member of Louisville Council #2530, K of C, Msgr. Graham
Assembly 4th degree, served as a handyman for many years at
Emmaus House and in his spare time enjoyed woodworking.
He is survived by his wife, Ardella Schrader of the home; sons,
Rick (Jeanne) Schrader of Bellefontaine, Ohio, Steve (Lisa) Schrader
of Carmel, Ind., Mark Schrader of North Canton, Scott (Diane)
Schrader of Canton; daughters, Denice (Mike) Login, Lisa Keefer,
Stacy (Nathan) Bopp all of North Canton; grandchildren, Joshua and
Aaron (Alex) Schrader, Alyssa and Andrea Login, Sr. Christina O.C.D.
and Jessica Schrader, Sabrina, Adam, Noah and Rachel Schrader,
Claire and Colin Keefer, William, Ella, Maria, Andrew and Julia Bopp;
brothers, Fr. Jim Schrader of Carthagena, Hank (Jean) Schrader of
Stow; sisters, Martha Gardner of Doylestown and Jean (Stan) Koczur
of Randolph.
Mass of Christian burial will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. in Sacred
Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Harrisburg with Fr. Nicholas J.
Mancini as celebrant. Burial will be in Sacred Heart of Mary
Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday afternoon from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
in the Wackerly Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be
made in his name to Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church. For those

Don cut my father´s hair for years. He was always so kind. I was just a kid and always excited to tag along with dad for the visit. Mr. Schrader would often offer me a stick of gum or a cold soda from the antique 7up machine. I was thrilled by the neat glass bottles. Great memories.

I met Don back in 1985 when I moved to North Canton. He was a great guy. Always looked forward to getting my haircut in Don's shop. He was my barber until he retired in 2002 even after I moved out of North Canton. My condolences to his family. I am sure Don was a great husband, father and grandfather.

Don was an amazing man. Don and Ardella raised 7 wonderful children, and they should be proud of him.

Aunt Delly, so saddened to hear of Don's passing . My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I remember Don fondly. He (and you) we're always good to us Smith's kids especially after my dad's passing. I still remember when I worked as a cashier at the Truck Stop in North Canton and he gave me a ride in the snow at 6 am just so I could go to my job. Keep your chin up and God bless.
