DONALD SUTTELLE Obituary

Donald "Spider" Suttelle

Donald William Suttelle, 71, of Ft. Lauderdale, and formerly of Austintown and Canton, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly under Hospice care on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 1:18 p.m. in Catholic Hospice Inpatient Unit at Holy Cross Hospital after suffering a cerebral brain hemorrhage two days prior. It is with great sadness that family announces the death and his unexpected passing shocked his family and friends because he was the picture of good health. Affectionately known as Spider by his family and friends, Donald was born November 13, 1947 in Youngstown, the son of Donald Eugene Suttelle and Helen Louise Schwartz Knouse. He graduated from Austintown Fitch High School in 1966, then went on to serve in the Army National Guard Austintown Armory for six years. Don was a district regional manager for many different companies. He also enjoyed flipping houses and flipped over 200 in his lifetime. Don liked to work and keep active. He was currently working as a Maintenance Supervisor for Lakeview Club Condominiums in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Don will be lovingly remembered by his family and many friends. He was an exceptional person with a heart of gold. Everyone that met Don loved him. He will be missed by many. Don was passionate about his Cleveland sports teams, especially the Tribe. He loved his family dearly, especially his mother, who survives.

Don is survived by his mother and step-father, Helen and Joseph Knouse of Howland; two sisters Diane (Robert) Hafely of Howland, Lori (Harry) Stull of Howland; two brothers, Mark (Britt) Knouse of North Carolina, Robert (Pam) Knouse of California; five nieces: Jennifer (Rich) Bundy, Mandi (Eddie) Kuhn, Brandi (Ryan Battison) Fadem, Brooke (Bryan) Melvin and Reese Knouse; three nephews: Seth, Dustin (Sarah) Knouse and Lance Knouse; and his great nieces and nephews: Dominic, Zoe, Taylor, Patrick, Talia, Brylee and Troy. He will also be missed by his lifelong friends Henry Pabian and Kevin Feinberg and by host of other friends. Don was preceded in death by his father, Donald; grandparents, William and Hermine Schwartz and Roy and Helen Suttelle.

Friends may call at the Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, 962 North Road N.E., Warren, Ohio, on Friday, December 21, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Full military honors will be rendered by the great men of the American Legion Post 540 of Cortland Trumbull County Honor Guard at 9:45 a.m. Saturday morning prior to the start of the funeral service in the funeral home. A Christian Burial Service, with Fr. Michael D. Balash, pastor of St. William Catholic Church in Champion officiating, will be offered at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 22, 2018 in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Howland Township Cemetery in Howland Township. A celebration of Don's life will also take place during the Martin Luther King weekend in January 2019 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
