Gerald Neff Obituary

Gerald R. Neff

age 61, passed away on April 18, 2021. He was born on Oct. 2, 1959.

"I was given the gift of life, and now I have to give it back. This is hard, but I was a lucky person, who led a wonderful existence. God has opened his arms for me to join him with his army of angels. Rejoice with me in my new life."

"Jerry, you have your wings now, taking you to the wonderous serenity of Heaven. You can run, hear, speak and see. Your Father was waiting for you with joy and you can pet your little dog Char again."

Jerry was preceded in death by his loving father, Charles Neff and his little dog, Char. Jerry's gentle and loving soul leaves behind his loving mother, Dorothy Neff; his special side kick, Aunt Lou; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family would like to give special thanks to the wonderful staff at Truman House and two very special people that helped him through his illness, his nurse, Cheryl and his assistant, Liz.

Calling hours with social distancing will take place on Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel with a service to follow at 12:30 p.m. The family invites guests to share in a time of fellowship at Pleasant Hill Independent Missionary Baptist Church, 2615 Prairie College St SW, Canton, OH 44706, following interment at Sunset Hill Burial Park. Dorothy, We are so sorry to hear you lost your precious Jerry. He was such a good neighbor to my Mom and Dad, always pleasant and smiling. Always remembering my Mom at Christmas with a box of candy, and when she lost Dad Jerry was always there to keep an eye out for her. We all thought the world of him. Jerry was a very special person we are glad we were able to know. May he rest in peace.
