Barthel
91, of Canton, Ohio, passed away Monday, Dec. 19, 2016. Mike was born March 19, 1925, son to the late Frank and Hazel Barthel. He attended McKinley High School before proudly serving his country in the Army during World War II. On May 4, 1950, he married Frances “Betty” Buck, who preceded him in death on June 14, 1994. He was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Mike is survived by daughter, Cindy (Isaac) Hassoun; son, Michael (Ginny) Barthel; daughter, Glenna (Jim) Cross, daughter, Jodi Barthel and son Frank Barthel; nine grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. He was loved and respected by many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held Friday at 4:00 p.m. in Reed Funeral Home CANTON Chapel. Visitation from 3-4 p.m.

SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS TO BARTHEL FAMILY. GROWING UP ON KIMBALL RD,I KNEW BOTH "MR. BARTHEL" AND HIS WIFE "FRANKIE" AND ALL OF THIER CHILDREN. MAY HIM AND HIS WIFE REST IN PEACE TOGETHER.THEY WERE GOOD PEOPLE.
