Isaiah Jackson Obituary

Isaiah A. Jackson
Age 66 of Massillon passed away on Thursday, April 29. Isaiah was born in Nigeria, West Africa on June 12, 1943. He became a naturalized U.S. Citizen in 1979. Isaiah moved to Massillon, Ohio in 1991 and was a graduate of Culinary Institute of America, New Haven Ct. and Manchester Community College, Manchester, CT. He worked many years in the hotel and food service industry. As an entrepreneur he created and owned importing, exporting and restaurant businesses.
Preceded in death by parents, Jackson A.U. Ebem and Mary Uofia, Brother Effiong J. Akpan.
Survived by wife of 37 years, Isalene (Trotter) Jackson; children, Isaiah (Lisa) Jackson, Jr. of Toledo, Ohio and Usen (Mariko) Jackson of British Columbia, Canada; two grandchildren, Bert and Isaiah III; three sisters, Martha Jackson, Iwko M. Dan and Hannah E. Ekanem, all of Nigeria. He also leaves numerous nieces and nephews in his homeland of Nigeria; extended U.S. family includes four brothers-in-law and nine sisters- in-law, nieces and nephews and other family members of the Trotter/Foster family.
Calling Hours to be held May 7 at Paquelet, Massillon from 12 p.m.-1 p.m. with services following. Pastor Reginald J. Hye, officiating.

Isolene & family, We were so sorry to hear of Isaiah's passing. We have such fond memories of him and always enjoyed visiting with him when we would see him at the post office and around town.
