Joann Abrigg Obituary

Joann M. Abrigg
Age 62 of Canton passed away Thursday morning in Mercy Medical Center following an extended illness. She was a life resident of Stark County, a 1967 graduate of Central Catholic, was employed by Mercy Medical Center and was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. Joann enjoyed spending time with her grandson, nieces, nephews and the outdoors.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph P. Gerber. She is survived by her son, Ronald M. (Christine) Abrigg of Riverview, Fla.; mother, Ann M. (Manderine) Gerber; brother, Joseph M. Gerber of Canton; sister, Kathleen A. (Timothy) Harbert of N. Canton; grandson, Christian Joseph Abrigg; nephews, Joseph F. Russell, Joseph R. Gerber, Andrew T. Gerber; niece, Tiffany M. Streb; great-nephew, Ryan Russell; great-niece, Raegan Russell and long time companion, Michael Kleinhenz.
Mass of Christian burial will be Monday at 11 a.m. in St. Michael Catholic Church with Fr. Donald E. King as celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday at 2 to 5 p.m. in the Wackerly Funeral Home. For those unable to attend services you may register on line at our 'On Line Registry Page' at www.wackerlyfuneralhome.com

Dear Ronnie, And Family of Joann

My deepest sympathy to all of you.There is one thing that no one will ever be able to take away from you ,is the memory and legacy she left behind, I am so thankful that Joann and my relationship was a good one. Many bumpy roads in the past but her and I became good friends. She knew that I loved her son as much as a step mother could possibly love their own biological child,as life continues her son, mother,sister,brother grandson,niece and nephews and family will carry her heart with them forever and now that she is at peace and in God's arms she can look down on her loved ones and embrace and keep you safe.I will miss her smile,and jubilant personality,but a soothing thought will be to look in each others eyes and you will see what Joann saw in each and everyone of you, it was the love, and affection that she left this earth with, and with that being said, you all will see a little bit of her in the loved ones she left behind, God Be With Her and May God Bless!

Family,
I am very sorry to hear about your loss. I have told many people this weekend what a great lady Joann was. She always seemed happy and enjoying life. She was proud of herself and was not afraid to show it. I am tearing up thinking about her. I can't even imagine what all of you are going through.
