Joseph Boscia Obituary

Joseph M. Boscia
Joseph M. Boscia, age 84 of Canton, passed away early Thursday morning. Born in Canton to the late Antonio and Filomena (Gliatta) Boscia, he was also preceded in death by brothers Leonard, Nick and Albert. Joe was retired from the Stark County Engineers. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law Bella and Chuck Marling of Canton, nephew Michael Marling and great nephew Anthony Marling both of Canton. Joe Boscia was a man who never met a stranger. He was beloved by all he met. His love for his sister, Bella, was incomparable. She cared for him every step of his journey. He and his brother-in-law, Chuck, shared countless Sundays watching every sporting event. He especially loved his Nephew Michael, who as a child, was his constant companion and as a man, his best friend. His Great Nephew, Anthony, gave him a special joy and filled his heart with abounding love. Joe was a music lover, and if you were fortunate, you would hear him sing his favorite Italian melodies. Joe loved to play poker, a game in which he excelled. He was an avid McKinley Bulldog fan for over 60 years. Joe was a resident of Manor Care for the past 3 years. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the nurses and aides who cared for Joe. He was especially blessed with two caregivers – Sandy and Wanda. Joe's presence blessed so many lives, and he was blessed to have a special friend, Nick Maloudis. Every day they had their morning coffee together. Joe leaves behind so many friends, especially Jim Carafelli, Leonard Norcia, Jim Sardone, Rudy Scarpino and Tony White. Rest now, Joe, and be with God. Family and friends will be received on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Rossi Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Fr. Matthew Albright officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
