Joseph Dima Obituary

Joseph M. Dima
Passed away Thursday afternoon at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Canton to the late Joseph and Theresa (Calabretta) Dima he was also preceded by sisters, Mary Prysock, Victoria Guzzo and brother, Carmen Sr. An Army veteran, Joe was the founder and former owner of Miracle Concrete Construction. He retired from the Stark County Engineers as a road inspector. Joe was a real family man who liked going fishing and especially loved his Friday night card games at home with his same friends for the past ten years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Virginia (Navo) Dima; daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Dennis Allman; son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Lora Dima. Joe was blessed with seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Also survived by sister, Antoinette Chirello; sister-in-law, Cora Dima and many nieces and nephews. We want to thank our special niece Theresa Lorenzo for her many visits that made Joe smile, our wonderful neighbors Tom, George, Vicki and Don for keeping our drive shoveled all winter, and to the people at Crossroads Hospice who do such a caring job and go the extra mile to make the patient comfortable. On January 21, I lost my best friend, my soul mate and the love of my life.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, January 28, 2010 in the Rossi Funeral Home from 5 to 7 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 10 am in the funeral home with Pastor Clint Quillen officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
