Leo P. Catterino
Leo P. Catterino, 75, of Massillon, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2006. Leo was born on May, 21, 1931 in Manlius, NY to the late Nicola and Concetta Catterino. He was a member of the U.S, Marines and served our nation with great honor during the Korean Conflict where he was wounded in action and received The Purple Heart and numerous other medals. Leo was a member of the American Legion in Massillon, Veterans of Foreign Wars and AMVETS. He was an avid lover of animals, especially dogs. He will be greatly missed by his daughters Anita McCreanor, Mary Catterino, Connie Culberston, Juleigh VanAlmen and Nicole Catterino, and their mother Joan Catterino. He is also missed by his 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Joseph (Pat); sisters, Grace and Theresa; many nieces and nephews; and his dog, Big Ben. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2007 at 1 p.m. at Journey of Faith Church, 1032 1st St. NE, Massillon, OH 44646. At Leo's request he will be cremated and his cremains will be entombed at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, in Rittman, OH on Monday, January 8, 2007 at 1 p.m. Those wishing to share their condolences or a fond memory may sign the Reed On-Line guestbook at our website

You will be greatly missed. I know in spirit you are still with me, your prescence is so strong. I'am so proud of you for all your accomplishments here on earth. You served our country so proudly, what a brave soldier you were! I will always keep you close in my heart! There is truly no one quite like you, you were such characture. I never knew anyone who had such a prescence, you were very unique & thats what I loved most about you . You didn't care what anyone thougth, you just said what was on your mind & for that I will always be grateful for what you taught me. Thank you for being my Daddy! No one can ever take the good the bad or the ugly from us & I wouldn't change that for anything!
