Matilee S. Meek
Age 90, of Canton went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Dec. 11, 2009. Born in Leetonia, Ohio to the late Vernon and Stella Brinker, Matilee was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church in Massillon and a former member of the Massillon Women's Club. She was active in the PTA when her children were in school and enjoyed sewing, reading and cooking.
Other than her parents, Matilee is preceded in death by her husband Charles Meeks; sons, Ronald and Richard D. Meek and brother, Alton D. Brinker. She will be greatly missed by her son, Thomas (Ann) Meek of Canton; grandchildren, Melissa (Perry) Custer, Matthew (Tammy) Meek, McKenzie Meek, Douglas (Candy) Meek and Melanie Meek and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Central Presbyterian Church in Massillon with Rev. Larry Lalama officiating. Matilee will be laid to rest at Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call at Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home, Massillon Chapel on Monday from 6-8 and one hour prior to the funeral service from 10-11 at the church.
