Michael Corns Obituary

Michael A. Corns, Sr.
Born October 13, 1952 in Canton, OH to the late Rosalie and Dean Corns passed away August 17, 2009 at the age of 56, in his home where he resided with niece, Beverly Hupp and family. Michael had been very ill for the past few months, fought a hard battle and remained very strong till he went into God's hands. Due to his mental illness he had been unemployed for many years, but was a very Proud Veteran. His kindness, gratefulness, and loving heart will be so deeply missed by those that loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ronald Corns. Survivors include his sisters, Betty McCauley, Barb (Mac) Tash, Debbie (Mark) Trissel and Wanda Kennedy; brothers, John Corns, Jeff Corns, Fred (Liz) Corns and Robert Wireman; two sons, Mike Jr. (Lucretia) Corns and Troy Corns; two grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Special thanks go out to Mary Kennedy and Sherri Hupp for their help with Michael's care when he needed a loving, caring hand during the past few months. Much gratitude is given to all the staff at the Canton Veteran's Clinic who cared and showed compassion to Michael.
Services will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. in Schneeberger Funeral Home with Pastor Louanne Zakaski officiating. Calling hours will be held on Thursday 6-8 p.m. and 10 a.m. on Friday. Burial will follow services at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Mike. I always thought so much of him. He was one of the kindest, gentlest souls I have ever met. He always had a smile on his face no matter what was going on in his life. He was a great man. I will miss him. May God give you peace in knowing he walks the golden roads. No more pain, no more suffering. Forever Loved.

Uncle Mike, You were not only my uncle, but more like a brother and friend. I'll miss you soooo much. I know you are in God's hands with grandma (your mother), your brother Ronnie & our good friend Richard.
Tell everyone I said hi. How I wish you could have remained here with me, but I know you were getting tired and needed the rest. You were so strong Mike & never complained. Our home will never be the same again with you gone.
I love you so much my dear sweet Michael.
Bev.
