Nanette Yost Obituary

Nanette Yost
Was born in Barnesville, Ohio on May 14, 1934, She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Lorena (Moorehead) Sayre. She passed away on Monday, Jan. 25, 2010, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Nanette graduated from Barnesville High School with the Class of 1952. She was employed at G.C. Murphy Co., Aultman Hospital of Canton, and Pogue's of Cincinnati. Nanette was baptized into Christ on Feb. 1959 by Bernard Mason, Minister of Dover Church of Christ, Dover, Ohio. Nanette was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Hugh Sayre. In Jan. 1956, she married Donald R. Yost. They were married 47 years before Don's death in 2003. They were a resident of Dubois and Riverton, Wyoming for 11 years after his retirement from Cincinnati Insurance Co.
Nanette is survived by their four children, Teresa Dawn (Randy) Starr of Louisville, Ohio, Heather Lynn Yost of Beloit, Ohio, Matthew Ray Yost of Cincinnati and John Hayden (Cherrie) Yost of Cheyenne, Wyoming and her sister, Ruthalene Long of Canton. She is survived by eight grandchildren, Jennifer (Tony) Wolfe, Daniel Craddock, Michael Yost, Britney and Jacob Yost, Ashley (Robert) Mahon, John Yost Jr. and Adam Yost. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Kyler Yost and Noah Wolfe; several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. Nanette is a member of Louisville Church of Christ in Louisville, Ohio. She was a member of Radiant Retiree's. Special thanks goes to the nurses at Aultman Cancer Center and Doctor Manuszak, Nanette's Oncologist and the home health nurses and infusion employees. Also very special thanks goes to Comfort Keepers and Hospice of Stark and Tuscarawas County.
In lieu of flowers, and in honor of the Nanette's favorite organizations, please make donations in her memory to Barnesville Education Foundation, P.O. Box 1, Barnesville, OH 43713 or the Louisville Church of Christ. A Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Stier-Israel funeral Home, Louisville, with Mr. Jeff Stevenson officiating. Friends may call one hour before services at the funeral home. There will also be a Memorial Service 1 p.m. Friday at the Campbell, Plumly & Milburn Funeral Home in Barnesville where friends may call one hour before services at the funeral home. Cremation has taken place and burial will be at the convenience of the family in Southern Cemetery, Barnesville, Ohio.
