Ned Lowe Obituary

Lowe, Ned H.
Age 54, of Sandusky,
passed away unexpectedly early Tuesday morning, January 20, 2009, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus, Sandusky. He was born February 5, 1954 in Canton, Ohio. Ned was a 1972 graduate of Canton Lincoln High School and in 1977 received an Associate Degree from the University of Akron. For nearly 15 years, Ned had worked for the Perkins Public Schools in Transportation, Grounds and Maintenance. Prior to that he had worked for 16 years at the Cedar Point Amusement Park, Sandusky. Throughout the years he was quite active in supporting his daughters in their various activities. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, life member of the Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity, Thirty-Second Degree Scottish Rite Mason, former member of the U.S. Power Squadron, and an active member in the "Boat League." He is survived by his wife of 26 years, married September 25, 1982, Christine C. (Claggett) Lowe; daughters, Jacquelyn E. and Emily A. Lowe, both at home; family, Todd M. (Linda) Lowe of N. Canton, OH, J. Mark Lowe of Cleveland Heights, OH, Robin A. (Brian) Frolo of Franklinton, NC, John B. Lowe of St. Cloud, FL, David C. Lowe of Canton, OH; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Edward and Florence Ann (Berry) Lowe. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 22, from 4-8 p.m. at the David F. Koch Funeral Home, 520 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Ned will lie-in-state Friday morning, January 23, from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral services at 11 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 214 E. Jefferson Street, Sandusky. Rev. Robert J. Machovec Jr., will be officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky. In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 214 E. Jefferson Street, Sandusky, Ohio 44870; Care and Share, 241 Jackson Street, Sandusky, Ohio 44870 or to the Canton Lincoln Alumni Association, P.O. Box 20192, Canton, Ohio 44701.
