You came to mind today. I didn't know you passed 11 years ago. I have fond memories of being your Limo Driver in Sacramento three decades ago. I always told your Manager, Jack, to call me when you were performing in town, and the Limo was always available to you at no cost. It's out of due respect of your remarkable talent and friendship. Can't wait to see you again in Heaven.

Patti, you had the most beautiful voice of all the singers in your era. I especially loved "Old Cape Cod". You were sitting directly behind me one year at midnight mass on Christmas Eve. I kept hearing this beautiful voice when we were singing the carols but, I was so engrossed (during the peace segment) with shaking hands with my neighbors in the row in front of me, that I didn't turn around to shake your hand. It wasn't until the next day that my neighbor told me who was directly behind me. I have always regretted that I didn't turn around. Rest in Peace, Patti, and I hope to hear you sing again someday!

To all the family of Mrs. Page you have my deepest sympathy for your loss. I grew up listing to the songs mentioned. That was a time when music was good and innocent. Mrs. Page will always be remembered for introducing them to the world. May the family remember all of the fun memories. Please rely upon the comfort that only God can give.

I served in the U.S. Navy from 1950 thru 1954, and Patti Page was always a favorite of mine. I remember as a teenager when she came out with Confess, With My Eyes Wide Open I'm Dreaming and so many more. I did get a chance to see Patti back in the early 80's when she appeared in Hackensack, NJ as she came out into the audience I had a chance to say "Miss Page you were always my favorite." I know she must be entertaining God, the Saints and all the Angels in Heaven. Jack Joyce Spring Hill, Fl

I was in High School when I heard her music and my all time favorite is "Old Cape Cod". I usually attach a song to a specific individual and I did with that song. Then of course I fell in love with her voice and to this day and for the rest of my life I will continue to listen to her beautiful voice. The songs she sang where all beautiful and may she rest in peace.

I wrote this poem and gave it to her on April 28th 2010 when she was at charity benefit in Claremore Oklahoma this was my first time to see her so that night I brought her this poem
The Stars had to be lined up just right that night and the sun must have been shinning so bright that day
In some way on that day God sent an angel with a heavenly voice to fill our ears and he prepared that angels heart with lots of love from a big loving family and from god above
Her life was humble in the beginning, she could never imagine what god was plannin
Even in Poverty she lifted up her voice to share with others
That sweet honey alto voice would make its way to millions of ears which god had planned from the beginning
Her sweet smile and uplifting personality drew millions to her but her love of God and family would keep her feet planted firm on the ground
She would endure testing along the way but with god and time on her side her destiny would not be denied
Clara Ann would give way to Patti Page and set the stage for the singing rage
Decades have passed and the gift god gave us goes on filling our ears with that sweet honey alto voice.
The stage is set Clara Ann is coming home where it all began and may it go on for a long to come
Patti,Clarann, Katie thanks from the bottom of my heart for the special touched by god talent you have shared with all of us and just being here tonight is the greatest thrill of my life and if you are reading this you and I have met even though I feel I've known you always love Marilyn Sutherland a friend and a fan god bless
I gave Patti this poem that night and on her 83 rd birthday I emailed it to her again ! God brought me into her life I loved her as if she were family I will miss her and I know I'm not alone till we meet again my sweet Patti

I'm the DJ that made Tennessee Waltz the gigantic hit it became. I learned of Patti's passing while on a cruise with my wife. It is ironic that i sent an encouraging note on the 28th of December and sailed away on the 29th. The news of her death brought back a flood of memories. I was 22 when she and I connected in Philadelphia. i have the test record she made of TW hanging on my wall with her picture and her note saying "Thanks Tommy for all the years" I was at the recording session with the Mercury records distributor who was selling Boogie Woogie Santa Claus as her next big hit. I strongly disagreed and took the test record with me and began laying it 4 times an hour on my show on WCAM. They told me it sold 25,000 copies in 10 days. That was Nov-Dec, 1950. i never was able to enjoy Patti's hit from my effort because Uncle Sam took me in Jan. 1951 to serve in Korea. She was my gal. I took her to a cocktail party for Frank Sinatra. Drove her at 1:30 in the morning from an engagement in Phila to NYC for her opening at the world famous Copacobana. She almost missed opening because the electric windows in my car went down and would not go up. It was 29 degrees and snowing during the entire trip. He voice left her temporarily. It was a close call. What memories. I'm 84 and going strong in Bal Harbour Florida. I'll dearly miss a sweet and wonderful friend...sleep well Patti and teach the angels to sing like you. Here we go again? We are loosing all the great American Vocalists. When I heard Patti Page for the first time way back in l950 singing her great rendition of the Tennesse Waltz I knew right then and there that her voice was so beautiful to listen to. Sorry to say today you are not hearing that kind of talent. You have those screamers like Lady Ha Ha and Bruce Bedspring with back up bands that sound like pots and pans. Notice when you heard Patti sing you heard each and every note. She never had to scream and depend on loud amplification . Like the best of them. Anita O day June Christy Julie London Chris Connor she will always be remembered for her sweet loving girl next door sound. We love you Patti and you left America Music with a stamp of approval. She will be sadly missed by all her fans and especially by admirers of great American Music. And by the way each and every one of her songs has tested the time base. Good Music never dies it gets better with Age. Patti always had that unmistakeable sound. Love You Patti forever.

It was Old Cape Cod. Popular in the late 50's. My husband and my favorite song when we were dating. Patti Page was my favorite singer, all time. I was a dancer and singer named Patty I changer my y to I after her. My maiden name and married name both also started with a P. I didn't know Patti Page wasn't her real name back then. I sang some of her songs, but not like she could. She was the greatest. So sorry she's gone, but will never be forgotten, at least thru this century, I hope and never by me.
