Paul Kardohely Obituary

Paul R. Kardohely
age 45, of North Canton passed away, unexpectedly on Monday, Feb. 21, 2011, though his memory lives on in the hearts of many. No one who knew Paul could deny his devotion and commitment to his family. People are not measured by the number of lives they touch, rather the depth to which they touch the lives of others. We are deeply touched. Though our husband, son, father, brother and friend is no longer with us, we are forever changed by his life. Heaven and earth will pass away, but God's love for us will never pass away. We will never stop thinking about you; remembering you in our prayers of thanksgiving. Through we are now prevented from showing you our love; we set upon the task of loving each other the best we know how. That is what we can do, until we meet again on the other side of the gates in heaven. Though the time has been short, we miss you deeply.
Paul was born in Canton, Ohio on Sept. 8, 1965. He was always willing to help those who needed his time and talents. Paul enjoyed time with family, working with his hands, and boating. He was a 1984 graduate of GlenOak High School and attended ITT Technical Institute. He walked this earth 45 years, now he walks with the Father. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Eugene and Catherine Mohr and Michael and Anna Kardohely.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Diane (Mang) Kardohely; adored daughter, Andrea M. Kardohely; parents Bob & Kay Kardohely; two brothers, Tom (Sara) Kardohely and Raymond (Gabrielle) Kardohely; two sisters, Sharon (Gary) Nist and Annette (Lyle) Turkson; a host of nieces and nephews; and best friend, Gary DePreist. He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in North Canton. He was formerly employed by Fishers Foods and Sentry Security. As of late, he was a self-employed entrepreneur owning several businesses and real estate properties in the area.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, Feb. 25, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the Reed Funeral Home North Canton Chapel (801 Pittsburg Ave. NW) with Pastor Phil Shepard officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Memorial Park. Calling hours will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, Feb. 24 from 4 to 8 p.m. and for one hour prior to services on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to any First Merit Bank Branch for Andrea's college fund. Di & the Kardohely family-
I considered Paul one of the best people I knew-he would help anyone he could. Even though he wasn't much older than me,I looked up to him and admired all his many talents. I would joke with my wife and tell Tiffany that "one of these days when I grow up,I want to be just like Paul Kardohely" but I really meant it. Paul might not have realized it,but he had quite an influence on me and I consider myself blessed to have been a friend. You have my deepest sympathy and are in my prayers. If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know.

February 23, 2011

Although Paul was a man of few words he always had a smile on his face. My memories of Paul are of my childhood at the lake. He was always there. Wither it was mowing grass, putting up the volleyball net, setting up or taking down the tables so we could ALL eat together or setting off in the boat with Jeff to go to the Tarzan swing. He always seemed happy when he was by the water. Paul you truly will me missed. My sincere condolences to all who's life Paul ever touched.

Words cannot express my sorrow for family and friends of Paul. My brother and I were joking about all the "stunts" we talked Paul into that involved the white station wagon..We laughed and laughed about how calm and collected he remained. Of this I am certain, the world is a lesser place without him in it.
