Peter DiGiacomo Obituary
Age 70, died Saturday after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a life resident of Canton; and a 1962 graduate of Timken Vocational High School. Pete retired as a Sergeant in the Canton Police Department after 30 years of service. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Police McKinley Lodge #2 and the American Legion Post #44 where he served on the Executive Board. He was a Vietnam War Marine Corps veteran.
Survived by his wife of 38 years Cynthia DiGiacomo; daughter and son-in-law, Nicole DiGiacomo-Lucas and Mark Lucas; granddaughter, Gabby Lucas all of Canton; brother and two sisters-in-law, Edmond and Sandy DiGiacomo of Hartville and Lois DiGiacomo-Jacobson of Canton; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ron and Nalini Morris of North Canton. Preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Oliva DiGiacomo; and a brother, Tony DiGiacomo.
Friends may call Friday from 5-8 p.m. with the Fraternal Order of Police McKinley Lodge having a service at 4:45 p.m., prayer service at 7 p.m., with Fr. Tom Bishop officiating and a Military Service at 8 p.m., all at the Lamiell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital. Condolences may be made to:
