Bole, Richard E.
Age 82, of East Canton
Passed away Sunday February 1, 2009 in Aultman Hospital. He was born December 20, 1926 in Canton, to the late Harold and Margaret (Covill) Bole. Dick was a life resident of East Canton and was a World War II Army veteran. He retired from NATCO in 1979 and retired from Malone College in 2000 after 20 years of service. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ where he served as custodian for many years and was active in the Mary and Joseph Sunday School class. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Pauline E. "Polly" Bole in 2006; one son, Gary Bole; one sister, Ann Doherty. He is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Cindy Evans of N. Canton, Kathy Bole of East Canton, Becky and Steve Poole of East Canton; one daughter-in-law, Joan Bole of Louisville; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday February 5, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Paul's United Church of Christ with Pastor James Painting and Pastor Elaine Painting officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Wednesday 5-8 p.m. in the Myers- Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home and one hour before services at the church on Thursday (10-11 a.m.). In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Paul's United Church of Christ at 306 W. Church St., East Canton, OH 44730 or East Canton Athletics at 310 Browning St, East Canton, OH 44730. Mr. Bole was a neighbor of mine. He lived right across the street from us. He was one of the nicest men I've ever known. When I used to go to work, he told me that he would always see me leave. It was nice to know that he was looking out for my safety. He was a wonderful man. May the family take comfort in knowing that he is in a much better place, and is at peace. The family is in my thoughts and prayers.
