Richard Ranalli Obituary

Richard J. "Rick" Ranalli Jr.
A native son of Canton and resident of Lexington, S.C., unexpectedly passed away on Friday, December 18th in the ICU at Mercy hospital due to complications from Covid-19. He was 65. Rick was born on March 22, 1955 and was the oldest of five children born to Richard J. and Jackie (Burnbrier) Ranalli, Sr. Rick graduated from St. Joseph grade school and Central Catholic High School before graduating from Kent State University with a degree in Business. He followed his father's footsteps in sales and had a successful career with Grefco, Puritan Bennet and Mallinckrodt/Tyco. Rick will be remembered, loved, and missed for his love and commitment to family, his generosity to friends, his daily hikes with his furry friend, Jackson, the great outdoors, the next adventure, his life on the water at Lake Murray in SC and to the call of the road with its next adventure. He was unwavering in his resolve; and will be missed for his mischievous grin and passionate personality. Rick is survived by his wife, Judy Cloy; his two children, Mandi (Charles) Strickland of Raleigh, N.C. and Rick (Nick) in Charleston, S.C.; his stepson, Chase (Jennifer) Eaddy; siblings, Roger, Lisa (Mark) Cramer, Craig (Lisa Ann), Karla (Bob) Powrie; step-grandsons; many nephews, nieces, and cousins in the following families: Ranalli, Burnbrier, Romigh, Miklandric, Depasquale, Powrie, Mator, and Cloy. Less than a month prior to his passing, Rick was preceded in death by both his mom and dad. Condolences and special memories can be shared with the family online at www.heritagecremationsociety.com
