Russell Shaw Obituary
70, of Carrollton, Ohio and Port Charlotte, Fla., died Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014 at 3:14 p.m. after a lengthy illness at Cleveland Clinic. Son of Russell James Shaw and Kathryn Ferguson Shaw. He's a 1963 Carrollton graduate, retired as a life long auto mechanic at Huebner's Chevrolet Subaru. He was Subaru Of America's first licensed technician.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Kathryn Shaw, three sisters, Judy (Frank) Nalley, Beverly Shaw and infant Margie Shaw, one brother, Randy Shaw. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Bonnie Fletcher Shaw; four children, Tammy Shaw and Tracey (Kerry) Shaw Leggett of Port Charlotte, Fla., Bryan (Kathy) Shaw and Brandon Shaw of Carrollton, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Doug Walton, Ashley Walton, Taylor Shaw, Chase Leggett, Adam Shaw, Jarin Leggett, Justin Shaw, Hayden Shaw and Abigail (Abby) Leggett; two great-grandchildren, Chase Colvin and Blake Stoller; three sisters, Dorothy (Dottie) (Robert) Beadnell, Fla. Wanda (Fred) Shaw Marshall, Sherry Shaw; one brother, Larry (Wanda) Shaw all of Carrollton, and many nieces and nephews.
He loved Nascar, fishing, hunting and hanging out with the grand kids. He attended Carrollton Bible Chapel in Carrollton, Ohio and First Baptist Church in Port Charlotte, Fla. He is loved by many and will be sadly missed.
CALLING HOURS will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday September 17, at Allmon-Dugger-Cotton Funeral Home 304 Second St NW Carrollton. FUNERAL will be held at a different spot at 11 a.m. on Thursday Sept. 18, at Carrollton Bible Chapel 365 Steubenville Rd. SE, Carrollton. Following will be the funeral procession to Harlem Springs Twp Cemetery. All are invited and please join us for lunch at the Carrollton Bible Chapel after the cemetery.
