Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who knew and loved my nephew, Steven especially Mel and baby on the way, my sister Sandy and her husband Wayne and all Steven's relatives everywhere. He was a remarkable Nephew that just seemed to know what was the right thing to do and did so many good things the right way to help unite and take care of those around him. No one can replace Steven but we can try to follow his example of bringing peace and calm and unity, help and happiness to those we can while we still can. Remember though we don't understand we must trust & believe God & Love always! With all our Love & prayers, Aunt Dianne & Uncle David Cummings, David Jr & Jessica Cummings, Danette & Karl Amerson, Divina & Rene Martinez, Sayde and Emma

I posted this shortly after Steve's death on Marjorie Hartleben's web site and I feel the comment is appropriate. Steve was an individual who enjoyed a challenge. I know this personally because I have worked with him recently for over a year. Steve took great pride in his work.

Although, Steve and I did not always see eye-to-eye, I have always tried to understand where Steve was coming from, as Steve has tried to understand where I was coming from. It TRULY makes me sad to see an individual who was such a genuinely good person pass away under these circumstances. My prayers are with his wife to help her through this time of tragedy and want to let her know that if she needs any help to contact me or any person that works at MOOG Flo-Tork and we as a team at MOOG will do our best to help her through tough times.

Steve was a goal oriented person and I know the memory of Steve will live on in other people hearts as it will mine.

Sincerely,
Mr. Marc and Jessica Jarvis

Steve was the best thing that has ever happend to my sister. He was loved deeply by my three daughters and will be sadly missed by Sandy and myself. I am really going to miss getting my butt kicked by him at pool and the games of flag football in my back yard, and just having him and Melodie over for pizza. You will be missed but never ever forgotten.

Sandy & Wayne, I am so sorry for your loss. Steven was a good man and would do anything for anyone...so many looked up to him. He truly took pleasure out of the simplest things and had a child-like sense of humor that was very endearing. I have 3 1/2 years of memories that I will always hold close to my heart. You and your family will always be in my thoughts my prayers. Please let me know if there is anything I can do.
Love always...

I was stunded to hear about Steves death. Steve and I worked together at Portage Electric. I would bake him a tray of cookies for Christmas every year. He was such a kind, generous person. He always had a smile on his face and never had a bad word to say about anyone. Melodie, you are a very lucky person to have had him in your life, as short as it was. I do wish you all the best that life has to offer you and your child. Always remember him through your child. I too was blessed to have known him. You are in my prayers.
