Suzan Kay Holfinger Kapper
passed away on Aug. 18th, 2017 at Seidman Cancer Center surrounded by her family and those that loved her. She is a 1975 graduate of Hoover High School and attended Aultman Nursing School and was a 1991 graduate of Columbus State Nursing School. Sue cared for thousands of patients as a registered nurse for over 25 years, at both Mercy Medical Center and most recently the Laurels of Canton. She was a greatly adored mother, sister, daughter and friend to all those who knew her. Her absence will be felt tremendously and her beautiful spirit will never be forgotten. She leaves this world a better place than when she arrived as her father always thoughtfully instilled in her, traits she diligently bestowed upon her four boys.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Robert and Margaret Holfinger, and her son, Craig Kapper. She is survived by her sons, Shawn McLaughlin of North Canton, Ohio, Jamie (Melissa) McLaughlin of Canton, Ohio, Jeremy (Rachael) Kapper of Bryans Road, Md; her brother, Dr. James (Diane) Holfinger of Brecksville, Ohio; her sisters, Melissa (Marvin) Trickett of North Canton, Ohio, and Jean Blackstone of North Canton, Ohio; and her two granddaughters, Gabriella McLaughlin and Abigail Kapper, with a third granddaughter due in December, as well as many nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles and dear friends.
Calling hours will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday Aug. 23rd and funeral services Thursday Aug. 24th at 11 a.m. at Reed Funeral Home, 801 Pittsburg Ave. NW North Canton, OH 44720.
