Tara Gibbons Obituary
Gibbons
age 32, passed away Sept.25, 2012. She was born May 5, 1980 in Canton, Ohio to Bob and Karen (Ost) Swartz. Tara graduated from GlenOak High School with a Cosmetology Certificate, worked at Aultman Hospital, was a Sunday school teacher and was the church treasurer. She attended Calvary Baptist Church of Moffet Heights. She loved to cook, can, bake and spend time with her loving family. Tara was the best mom and wife ever.
She is preceded in death by her son, Gage Christopher Gibbons; and her grandmother, Martha Ost. Tara is survived by her husband, Shawn Gibbons; son, Gunnar Michael Gibbons (age seven); daughter, Cadence Noel Gibbons (age four); her parents and her father and mother-in-law, Robert and Deborah Gibbons.
Friends may call Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012 from 4-9 p.m. at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home. The service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, Oct. 1, 2012 at 11 a.m. The service will be conducted by Pastor Tim Mishler. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Burial Park.

So terribly sorry for your loss. I was Tara's first grade teacher and have such sweet memories of her. She was an outstanding student and a wonderful gift to our classroom. What a privilege and honor to have had her in my life.

Dear Bob and Karen, I am so sorry about Tara, I just want you to know that Tara will always be remembered by me and the time I spent with her as a child, although it was many years ago they are none the less special. As I learned if Tara's tragic passing today my mind immediately went to her sweet spirit and gentle smiling nature when I worked with her at Aultman North. Shawn and The Swartz family, I am so deeply saddened for you for your loss. Tara was such a sweet and love-able person who always found the good in others. I worked with her for years at Aultman North, and I can still here her little giggle and how she would say "Oh My" or "lordy lordy girls". It is truly a travesty that she is no longer with you and your family. Shawn no one can ever understand how you feel, or how you go on every day. I'm sure when you look in the eyes of your children you will see Tara and it will comfort you. Just remember she will always be there guiding you and helping you along. May god comfort and support you and your family through this. Please accept my deepest condolences.

I can't even fathom your loss right now. Tara was the best mom I'd ever known. She loved her family with everything she had. She was so proud of Gunner's art talent. She kept his drawings hanging around her desk. She often referred to Cadence as a mini me. I'm so sorry for the loss. Her spirit lives on in her family. I will never watch the Andy Griffith show, hear Kenny Rodgers, or go to Dollywood without thinking of Tara. Her genuinely kind soul will live on forever in all the people she touched. I love you Tara and will always hold your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Tara is an amazing person... her smile could light up a room.. I did not get to spend a lot of time with Tara but the time I did have was always full of fun conversation and laughs... She is greatly missed... my prayers go out to Shawn and the children and all her family and friends... She will be loved always...

I would like to send my deepest sympathy to Tara's family for the loss of a wonderful young woman that they were so very fortunate to have in their lives. I was given the opportunity to work with Tara this past year and enjoyed every minute of it. Tara came across as being shy at first, but after I got to know her she was one of the most down to earth ladies that I had ever met who never had anything but nice things to say about people. She always spoke such loving words about her family and how much they meant. Tara will be missed by many for her wonderful personality and beautiful smile that was always upon her face anytime you would see her.

I first met Tara 5 years ago and am still in shock that she is not here on Earth with us any longer. I never got to know her family but she was one of the few people I knew who spoke so highly of her relationship with her husband and children. She was so happy to be Shaun's wife and a mother. I always looked up to her as a role model and saw her as one of the most beautiful ladies I know. You are greatly missed. Love and prayers to all she touched.

I had the wonderful blessing of knowing Tara for the last couple of years as her supervisor/friend at Aultman. What i saw when i looked at Tara was a sweet, compassioniat,blessed woman. Tara's family was her life which she gave her whole heart to. She was one of those people who was always smiling and i believe that was because she was so blessed. Her tragic passing has left a big void in our world. I will miss my friend so very much. I have had the honor to be Tara's close friend as well as co-worker for the past 9 years. We always said that we were like the sisters we never had, and actually called eachother "sis" at times. I miss her terribly, and I will take comfort in all the wonderful times and memories we shared together. My heart goes out to Shawn, the kids, her parents and the rest of her family.
