Ted E. Johnson

71, of Massillon, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 9, 2021. Ted was born on May 10, 1949, in Massillon, the son of the late Ernest and Betty (Hawk) Johnson. He was a 1967 graduate of Washington High School. Ted was a United States Army veteran and served our country during the Vietnam War. He retired from Crown Cork & Seal after 43 years of service. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns, and Cleveland Indians. He enjoyed fishing and going to the area speedway racetracks to watch car races. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Fred Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Jayne (Myers) Johnson whom he shared 20 years of marriage; his sons, Scott (Jennifer) Johnson, and Mike Johnson; step-sons, Scott Heffelfinger, and David (Kim Pizzino) Heffelfinger; grandchildren, Malory Johnson, Amber, David, Matt, and Bryan Heffelfinger; step-granddaughter, Regan Stenger; great-grandchildren, DJ, Kiley, Skylar, Paityn, Cohen, Blake, Emma, and Josh Heffelfinger; sister, Sage (Bob) Walnoha; and sister-in-law, Marge Johnson.

There will be no calling hours or services. Cremation will take place. Messages of comfort and support may be sent to the family at www.paquelet.com.
