Alice Collison

Alice V. Boston Collison, age 89,received her heavenly wings on April 4, 2015,after a brief illness. She was born March 14,1926, in Edgewater, Md., to Moses and Sarah Olney Boston. Alice was a long time member of St. Philips Episcopal Church. She was a devoted member of the Altar Guild, until her illness. You would often hear her say "God is Good." In her earlier years she worked as a beautician and later as an instructional aide at Parole Elementary School, until her illness of myasthenia gravis. After remission, she became a fulltime homemaker who loved to dance, read, work word search puzzles, and most of all she loved to cook and spend time with her family. Alice was also a member of the Peerless Rens Social Club. Alice was also preceded in death by 6 brothers, and 4 sisters. She leaves to mourn 2 daughters, Cynthia Travis, and Enid Collison-Lee(Herbert), 1 sister Shirley B. Long(Irving), brothers Charles(Rachel), Francis (Gladys), and Rev. Louis J. Boston(Isabelle), 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services will be held on April 13, 2015, at St Philips Episcopal Church, 730 Bestgate Rd, Annapolis, Md., viewing at 10 a.m., wake at 10:30 a.m, funeral services to begin at 11 a.m. Interment at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Wm. Reese and Sons Mortuary.
