Craig Alan Gottschall, 36, a 10-year resident of Edgewater and previously of Odenton, died March 28 at his home following a four year battle with cancer.
He was born January 9, 1974, at the Mal colm Grow Medical Center at Andrews Air Force Base in Camp Springs, to Nancy Gottschall of Edgewater and the late Bart Gottschall.
Craig graduated from Arundel High School in 1992 and made his career as a commercial electrician. He was a Redskins fan who also enjoyed fishing, four wheeling and traveling.
Survivors include his mother; one brother, Troy Gottschall of Edgewater; one sister, Amanda Seydler of Arnold; one aunt; one uncle; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to Craig's Life Celebration from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 30 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road in Edgewater where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 31. Interment in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1041 Route 3 North, Building A, Gambrills, MD 21054 or the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Highway, Annapolis, MD 21401.
