David Barnes Obituary



On August 16, 2014, David M. Barnes, of Severna Park, passed away at the age of 71. He is survived by his son David Barnes and his daughter Deborah Barnes-Mattie; his siblings Roger E. Barnes and Kathleen A. Hardin; his grandchildren Robert-Cole Barnes, Jack C. Mattie and Tanner J. Barnes. He was predeceased by his parents Malcolm and Kathryn Barnes, and his sister Nancy K. Barnes. David proudly served as a member of the United States Army. He worked for NSA for over 20 years before retiring. He loved living on his power boat, and being at the marina with his friends. He also enjoyed travelling and spending time on his motorcycle. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, August 23, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the Magothy Marina, 360 Magothy Road, Severna Park, MD. 21146.
