Sherry Rogers Obituary

Sherry L. Rogers, 61, a 23-year resident of Lothian, MD, and formerly of Frederick, MD passed away on August 9, 2024, at her home after a two-and-a-half-year battle with cancer. Born on July 31, 1963, in Olney, MD to Cora Virginia Riggleman and the late Kelly Wayne Rogers, she graduated from Linganore High School in 1981 and later earned her Associate's degree from Anne Arundel Community College. Sherry had a passion for traveling to National Parks, hiking, reading and writing, photography, winter sports in Western Maryland, and summer activities at Assateague Island. She was preceded in death by her father, Kelly Wayne Rogers. Sherry is survived by her beloved husband of 26 years, William F. Klingensmith, Jr., of Lothian, MD; her sons, Christopher Mossburg (Jennifer) of Friendship, MD, and Joshua DeVries (Cassie) of Mt. Airy, MD; her brother, Kelly Wayne Rogers, Jr. (Cheryl) of Virginia Beach, VA; her sister, Judy L. Rogers of Pasadena, MD; her grandchildren, Aubrey and Mason Mossburg, and Alyssa, Makyla, Savannah, and Caroline DeVries; and her mother, Cora Virginia Riggleman.
