Sharon Garvin Obituary

Sharon L. Garvin, 79 of Auburn passed away Thursday, October 23, 2025 at Arc at Sangamon Valley in Springfield. She was born January 4, 1946 in Springfield, the daughter of Henry and Freda Floyd Dickman. She was preceded in death by her parents; six siblings, Betty Powell, Ronald Dickman, Wilbur Dickman, Mary Richards, twin, Karen Williams and Cynthia Phillips; two grandsons, Brent Garvin and Colin Ballard. Sharon married her lifelong husband Michael Garvin, Sr. Sharon was a stay at home mom and enjoyed shopping. Surviving are her husband, Michael, Sr; one son, Michael (Jennifer) Garvin, Jr. Chatham; one daughter, Michele Garvin of Virden; four grandchildren, Megan, Marissa, Mariela and Madilyn; five great-grandchildren; five siblings, Henry "Bud" Dickman, William (Cathy) Dickman, Doug (Barb) Dickman, Lana Sue Barton and Susan (Rodney) Wilson; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 9:30am until time of services at 11am, Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at Bramley Funeral Home, Auburn. Burial will follow in Auburn Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Central Illinois Eye Bank. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Sharon L. Garvin, please visit our floral store.
