Barbara Karen Symonds

Barbara Karen Symonds, 81, of Westminster, MD passed away on August 17, 2025. Born January 3, 1944 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late George Washington Spangler, Sr. and Margaret Elizabeth (nee Schereth) Spangler. Beloved wife of the late Ronald Wayne Symonds. She grew up on Dulaney Valley Road and was a graduate of Towson University with her Masters in Music. She was a music teacher for Baltimore County Public Schools. Barbara loved her competitive showing of her horses and training dogs. She enjoyed her music, art and sang at weddings and funerals. She loved her jewelry, fashion and was always "dressed to the nines". Surviving are her four sons, Robert Symonds, Mark Symonds, Daniel Symonds, Eric Symonds; daughter, Katy Malinski; four grandsons, Tristan Samuel Lafortune, Reid William Symonds, Duke Wade Symonds, Noah Adam Malinski; two granddaughters, Rachael Morgan Symonds, Emily Ann Symonds; step-grandson, Alexander Robert Jones; great-grandson, Owen Lucas Symonds; great-granddaughter, Kinsley Wren Jones. Family will receive friends on Thursday, August 21, 2025, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Eline Funeral Home, 2901 Bloom Road, Finksburg, MD. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be made at
