Calvin W. Armacost

Calvin Watson Armacost, 95, of Hampstead, MD passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024 at Golden Crest Assisted Living, St. Paul in Hampstead, MD. Born February 8, 1929 in Baltimore County, MD, he was the son of the late Robert Clayton Armacost and Hazel Marie (née Palmer) Armacost. He was the husband of the late Mary Louise Armacost, who died in 2020. Mr. Armacost served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Lawson Enterprises, Inc. and the Reisterstown Lumber Company. He was a lifetime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Arcadia. Surviving are his sons and daughter-in-law, Michael R. and Linda Armacost of Frederick, CO and Mark S. Armacost of Hampstead, MD; daughter, Angela Ann Hipsley of Taneytown, MD; granddaughter, Ali Armacost; grandson, Robby Armacost; and sister, Alice Dell of Hampstead, MD. He was predeceased by sister and brother-in-law, Velma and John Marvin Fishpaw. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2024, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 15733 Dover Road, Upperco. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery.
