Charles Anders Obituary



Mr. Charles "Charlie" Harry Anders, 64, of Hanover, PA and formerly of Frederick, MD, passed away peacefully at home on May 21, 2015, with his loving wife Carol by his side. Born in Frederick, MD on February 2, 1951, he was the son of the late William A and Ruth N. Kline Anders. Charlie drove trucks for over 50 years of his life. He enjoyed watching old westerns and enjoying trains in his spare time. He was a man who was willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, anytime, or anywhere. He was a very patriotic individual who considered his family and God very important in his daily life. He is survived by his daughter; Becky Wilkerson. Sons; Bryan Anders and wife Elizabeth, and Zachary Anders and wife Kelsey. Brother; Michael Anders and wife Elizabeth of Frederick. Sisters; Orpha Rice of Florida and Jennifer Walter and husband Joe of Florida. 5 Grandchildren. His Uncle Paul and Aunt Joyce Kline and Uncle Edgar (Butch) and Aunt Bonnie Kline. Cousins; Donna Faye and Donnie Shiflet. In-laws; Bennard and Joan Slaybaugh. And several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers; William (Billy) Anders and Earl Anders. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 25th from 6-8 pm at the Chapel Mausoleum at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Highway, Frederick, MD. Then from 10-11 am on Tuesday, May 26th at Meadowbranch Church of the Brethren, 818 Old Taneytown Road, Westminster, MD where a funeral service will begin at 11 am with Pastor Tom Richard, officiating. Interment will follow in Meadowbranch Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Johns United Church of Christ, 8 N 2nd St, Woodsboro, MD 21798 or Meadowbranch Church of the Brethren, 818 Old Taneytown Road, Westminster, MD 21157. Arrangements are with Resthaven Funeral Services, Skkot Cody, P.A.

Charlie was my big brother and I will forever love him and he will always have a special place in my heart. Carol please take comfort in knowing that he is at peace and that he truly loved you with all of his heart.

We are so sorry to hear about Charlie. He was a sweet and wonderful man. I still remember him walking you to and from work and cleaning the snow off my car. He will be missed. Carol you are loved and we will be thinking of you and your family!

Carol,
I am so sorry to hear of Charlie's passing. You have to know how much I enjoyed working with him during his treatments. The party started as soon as he walked through the door. He simply adored you and I know you will miss him terribly.
