David Reifsnider Obituary

David Morris Reifsnider, 87, passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at BridgingLife Health (formerly Dove House) in Westminster. Born on November 13, 1934, he was the son of the late David Leonard Reifsnider and Daisy Pearl Reifsnider, nee Hess. He was the loving husband to Vesta Elizabeth Reifsnider, nee Null, to whom he was married to 61 years. He was a graduate of Taneytown High School – Class of '53. David was a lifetime dairy farmer near Keymar, MD, and was known for his determination and strong work ethic. He had a beautiful tenor voice and loved to sing in various community choruses. He and his wife, Vesta, enjoyed singing in duets for many years throughout the area. David played the trombone in with Wm. F. Myers & Sons Band for 40 years. He enjoyed attending community concerts, shows and anything musical. He loved doing things with his hands; he was very good at mechanics, fixing anything, and cutting wood. David was also a lifetime member of the Grace United Church of Christ in Taneytown, MD, where he sang on the choir and served in many capacities, including Property Chairman. Traveling, especially out West, David particularly enjoyed. Last but certainly not least, he loved his family, who will all miss him dearly. In addition to his wife, David is survived by his children, David Michael Reifsnider and wife Susan, Jon Maurice Reifsnider and wife Debra; his foster son, William Childers and wife Tammy; grandchildren Rebecca Marie Conrad and husband Kyle, Sarah Ann Brentlinger and husband Jon; foster grandchildren Zachary Hopkins and Keegan Childers; a great-grandchild Madison Marie Conrad; and brother Kenneth Leonard Reifsnider and wife Martha. Services are private. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial contributions in David's name to Grace United Church of Christ Repair Fund, 49 West Baltimore Street, Taneytown, MD 21787.
