Gary Shaffer Obituary
He was the husband of Mary Beth Dembeck Shaffer.
He was the president and owner of CCS Inc. for 38 years. He was a pioneer in the hydro seeding business and was a Christmas tree grower. His trees were selected to go to the White House in 1990.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are children Taylor, Spencer and Joe Shaffer; and siblings Judy Cramer and Tom and Kevin Shaffer.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of memorial Mass, noon Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 63 Sacred Heart Lane, Glyndon. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Catoctin Forest Alliance, P.O. Box 411, Thurmont, MD 21788.

Hardly a day goes by when I don't think of Gary. He was a business associate and friend of many years and I miss him very much. I pray for his sons and wife.

We were very sad to hear of Gary's passing, you have our heartfelt sympathy. We did not know until an hour ago or we would have come to the service. Unfortuneately, I know what it is like to have lost a husband.
