Joyce Moore Obituary

Joyce Elsie Moore, nee Lutton, passed away at her home on Wednesday, July 17, 2024. Joy was born in Wallacey, Cheshire, England, on April 6, 1928, to Elsie Mary and Ralph Lutton. She is survived by her sister Betsey Finch, of Delaware, her brother Thomas Lutton, his wife Mary and daughter Alison, of Wallacey, England. Joyce is also survived by nieces Donna Ferguson and Victoria Finch, and great nieces Amy Ferguson and Elizabeth Ferguson. After marrying Frederick Moore of Maryland, Joyce settled into a wonderful life in America. After Fred passed away, Joy became close friends with Robert Ferguson and enjoyed many happy times together. Joyce treasured her neighbors Darlene and Mitch Keyes, as well as her caregiver, Thandiwe. Joy had a great sense of humor and enjoyed cooking, entertaining, and playing chess. She also had a lifelong appreciation of plants and flowers. Those who were graced by her presence were thankful to know her and she will be missed tremendously and remembered fondly. She is now a star in the heavens, shining down on us with love.
