Julia Reynolds Obituary

Julia Hughes Reynolds, 92, of Bel Air, MD passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Brightview Senior Living in Bel Air. Born June 19, 1929 in Charlottesville, VA, she was the daughter of the late William Edward Hughes and Thelma Eugenia Grasty Hughes. She was the wife of the late Donald Via Reynolds, who died in 2017. Mrs. Reynolds earned her bachelors degree at Longwood College and earned her masters degree at Towson State. She had been a teacher in Baltimore County public schools for over 30 years. She was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church. She enjoyed quilting, square dancing, playing bridge and world travel. Surviving are daughters, Cynthia Jay Reynolds (Kay) of White Hall, MD, Nancy Lynn Norris (Joseph, Jr.) of Bel Air, MD; son, Donald Via Reynolds, Jr. (Virginia) of Montpelier, VA; and grandchildren, Joseph R. Norris, III, Jeremy D. Norris, Robert A. Benson, and Deborah E. Benson. A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 12, 2021 at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, 2533 Mt. Carmel Road, Parkton, MD. Interment will be private. Memorials are suggested to the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, 2533 Mt. Carmel Road, Parkton, MD 21120. Arrangements are by Eline Funeral Home, Hampstead.
