I will always think of Julie when I watch certain tv shows. We would always talk about them when I would see her which was usually the next day. It was a privilege to have known her. RIP Julie

Julie lit up the place with her smile and her laugh. I met Julie at the Y many years ago when she took classes in the pool. She loved the pool. I used to park her car for her when I was working at the desk. I went a few times to see the cats and enjoyed a Christmas party or two at her house. I didn't know she was a scorekeeper for the WHS boys baseball team until one of my neighbors played on the team and there Julie was. Every once in awhile she would pull up to the Y doors and honk to see who was working to come talk with her or yell your name from the car at Shoppers to chat. Julie was a true friend!

My sincere sympathy to Julie's family. She was a bright light at the Cafe and I was a frequent visitor there when Joe ran the restaurant. Munch's Cafe was the place for lunch. Julie almost always had a smile and an up beat attitude an she loved her sports. RIP Julie!

Julie and I were co-workers, friends and rivals. We worked together at Munch´s and later Harry´s Sub Shop. She coached the legendary Drillers. I coached the Chiefs. It was a bitter rivalry. A rivalry which actually caused a rift in our relationship and a visit from Ray Owings asking "what the hell is wrong with you two". Appropriately the Drillers won the Jaycee softball championship that year over
my Chiefs. Although we went to the last game.( I can´t remember if it was best of three or five). I can´t imagine rec league softball has had such a rivalry since. The softball thing quickly faded and I was once again Mikeeee. A quick restaurant story. Julie made 99% of the Cole slaw. She showed me how it was made but back then nothing was written down.It seemed like EVERY holiday we ran out of Cole slaw. I would make it, but someone else had to taste it to make sure I did it right. (I hate Cole slaw). Our lives went in totally different directions in the mid 80´s. We saw each other occasionally and when we saw each other we would reminisce (time permitting) and share a big hug. I´m so glad I knew Julie
