Katie Hadel Obituary
Katie Ann Hadel, 33, of Reisterstown, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013.
Born Jan. 8, 1980, in Westminster, she was the daughter of Robin Hadel and Leonard C. Hadel. She was the wife of Craig A. Gordon.
Surviving, in addition to her parents and husband, are daughter and stepdaughters Ava Gabrielle Gordon, Dominque Gordon and Candice Martin; a stepfather, Marc Binkley; a sister, Sarah Michele Milne; a half-sister, Jackie Hadel; a step-grandson, Malachi; grandparents Charles Winegard and Natalie Rallis; nephews Bailey and Aiden Milne; a niece, Annabelle Milne; and many relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills.
A funeral service will be held at noon Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Pete Carey officiating. A celebration of her life will be held following the service.
Memorial contributions may be sent to a trust fund for her daughter, Ava, Guardian of Ava Gordon Trust, P.O. Box 30, Reisterstown, MD 21136.

Hi Robin, I didnt know Katie personally but feel like she has been with me, since she lives though you and of course, Ava.
What a beautiful girl in all ways with a beautiful mom who jumped in through heart break and helped Ava and Craig and still does.

I would like to give my condolences to the Hadel Family. I knew Katie through my daughter Shannon, they had been friends since middle school. She was a beautiful soul that has left us too soon. In the years to come, as her daughter gets older, may you find in her, many traits of your Katie. Hopefully you have a lifetime of memories to comfort you in the days and years ahead. God Bless Katie and her Family for she is still shining bright in the Heavens above.

To Robin, Sarah, and family:
I met Katie about 12 years ago, we became fast friends, we just clicked. I lost touch with her but I have always thought about her. I was just recently thinking about her again, how we were so similar, we were both blond, and we had a lot of the same features. Then I saw the story on the news. I am just heartbroken for you all and her little girl Ava. I send many prayers that your pain will heal over time. She has gone over to a much better place and you will be with her again. She will always be with you though, in the wind, the song on the radio, the chill you suddenly get, the butterfly that hangs around. She was so fun, and so happy, I'm sad that I can't reconnect with her on this side. I wish you think of all the memories and always hold her close.
